Finding a good cafe in an unfamiliar city can be a daunting, though fun, task. Chicago-ans like Intelligentsia, and it’s great. It reminded me of the absolute best place in Denver to get caffeinated.

The Chicago Cultural Center, in addition to being the prettiest building in town and former home to the public library, does free concerts several times a week. We caught a classical lunchtime show. I noticed several people sketching the performers as they played.

The elevator up to the top of the John Hancock building moves fast enough to pop the ears and leave a body wondering where that pickled feeling in the guts came from. The sun came out just for us.

Sounds like a nice dau. As many times as I have been to Chicago I have not been to the top of the tower. One day…
