Yesterday was the last day of the UMS, and the morning was a sleepy fog of ringing ear drums and a feeling of bacchanalian accomplishment.  It took a little effort to get going, but Jenn and I headed down to our favorite studio in town, the Furnace Room in Englewood, to finish a little project we began long ago.  Ukuleles, coffee, muffins, and microphones readied, we did a couple covers and two originals.  Taking songs from backyards to a studio, even a very comfortable, homey studio, does give one an entirely different perspective on sounds.  Making music with friends is just about the best thing.  Ever.  If you’d like, you can listen too.  Below is us our natural habitat.

Merci Clare!! I cannot wait to hear the S. sisters soon. In my dreams there is us as a quartet, accompanied by a certain banjo playing gentleman, under the stars.
