The sea to an inlander is a major sensory disturbance, a complete departure from typicalities and known quantities. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves, really turbulent ones mixed up by blasting winds. You wouldn’t guess it from these bucolic photographs, but it blew like the dickens all day and then sprayed rain. A quiet morning and leisurely walk before put one in the perfect mood for a night in afterwards to appreciate the storm.
