Sometimes weekdays get so busy, you just daydream endlessly about a quiet, restful weekend. But when the weekend arrives you’re so excited to have made it through the hectic week that you go and have yourself an even wilder weekend. That was my past weekend. It was Labour Day here in NZ, and we milked it.
When we left Denver, we had to part with some really great things. But things are just things, and we somehow got our bodies across the ocean in (fairly) good shape. But a body needs coffee, and I’ve been hunting for a replacement for our beloved coffee grinder. There are as many coffee shops as people in Wellington. We noticed a little place tucked back and into an alleyway very unassuming, with fancy brew gear in their windows, and I stopped on my way to work and inquired about a hand grinder. Lamason was a jackpot. Not only did we get a new, improved model to our old one, we also ran into Will’s pal Jasper, who treated us to a delicious cuppa. It was so pretty I had to snap it up.
