It was mighty mighty because it was at Mighty Mighty, and it was hot and sweaty because it was a success, because Wellington loves its zines! Wellington Zinefest was this last weekend, and we smooshed our way between many other zine lovers to get a crash course in the local DIY publishing world. There were a few familiar volumes represented, even some old standards from the USA, and I saw many lovingly-bound, beautiful creations.
Recommended listening to go with your new zine stash? I say Maxine Funke’s Felt, which is one of those that could be perfect for both springtime and autumn, because my poor heart is surfing the waves between the two right now.
