Even when days get busy and the world seems sort of small, there’s always the miracle of food to fill us up, and not only gastronomically. I don’t know why I (and about a zillion other humans) feel helpless against the urge to photograph our food, but it’s immensely satisfying. The most recent sources of inspiration in my kitchen have been books from the library. Leaving my beloved Enchanted Broccoli Forest back in the USA has resulted in a forced branching-out of sorts; new vegetables, herbs, spices, techniques, all of which are delicious. Not like there’s any shortage of sexy food-lover blogs to keep things interesting.

Below, clockwise from top left: roast veg, pasta avec broad beans and Bocconcini mozzarella, roast veg mega close, and traditional big brekkie.
