Castle Hill, n.w. of Christchurch, where outcroppings of craggy limestone rocks seem to be strewn by a giant across the landscape willy nilly. The country was once covered entirely by ocean, but now we get to run over it like mountain goats. And we couldn’t deny that it sort of reminded us a bit of Colorado. It was the 1st stop on our South Island Journey…more of that to come.
