“If the boundaries of the self are defined by what we feel…those who feel for others are enlarged, and those who feel compassion for all beings must be boundless.”
::Rebecca Solnit, The Faraway Nearby
These days the world seems to be simultaneously shrinking and growing, turning inwards and outwards all the time. Possibly it all has to do with all the growing happening to my little family, but my heart seems to be expanding every moment. I have friends tell me stories about how they thought they had reached their capacity for love, only to have their world blown completely open, finding their love has no boundaries.
